Angela’s Background
Angela’s specialty in advertising, marketing and public relations stems from her background specifically in Real Estate Brand Management. Prior to her successful career as an associate real estate broker at Sotheby’s International Realty and Compass, Angela was the Director of Marketing and Advertising at Julia B. Fee’s Scarsdale brokerage. Before relocating to Scarsdale in 1994, Angela lead the Marketing team for Coscan Development’s $400 million luxury waterfront residential development, The Point at the Waterways, in Aventura, Florida.
She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and the distinctions of Magna Cum Laude, University Honors Scholar and The NCR Award for Excellence in Marketing, (selected by Faculty as the Top Marketing Student).
Angela and her husband are residents of Scarsdale, New York. Both of their daughters are proud graduates of Scarsdale High School, Scarsdale High School, and Quaker Ridge Elementary School. Her oldest daughter, Jessica Retelny Shames, was previously the Director of Marketing & PR at Platinum Drive Realty, a boutique real estate firm founded in Scarsdale. She joined The Angela Retelny Team at Compass as a full-time Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in early 2018.
